Christy Dignam's daughter will perform an intimate gig this weekend to raise funds for her father's palliative care.
Talented singer Kiera Dignam will take to the stage alongside her husband Darren Morgan to perform to up to 600 guests at a charity function hosted by celebrity lawyer Gerald Kean.
Kean is opening up his palatial Co. Wicklow home on Saturday night (May 6) to host the fundraising event, which will also see Kodaline frontman Steve Garrigan taking to the stage.
Up to €60,000 is expected to be raised at the private function - €25,000 of which will be donated to the Dignam family to help with medical bills and other costs, as they continue to care for Christy in his Finglas home.
Duran Duran star Simon Le Bon, who is due to play Dublin's 3Arena on Sunday (May 7), has also been invited to the star-studded bash - which will be the 13th charity concert hosted at Kean's home.
Back in 2012 Christy joined his Aslan bandmates to headline Kean's annual charity event, and were described by the Cork-born lawyer as "the best live act I've ever seen".
Christy, 62, was diagnosed with two rare blood cancers - amyloidosis and multiple myeloma - over 10 years ago. The Aslan singer subsequently spent some time in a hospice, after which his family released a statement earlier this year, revealing he was receiving palliative care.
In a poignant interview with Ryan Tubridy recently, the Crazy World hitmaker described himself as being "on the conveyor belt up to heaven".
