Christopher Nkunku has already given Thomas Tuchel opinion amid Chelsea link

Christopher Nkunku has already given his take on Thomas Tuchel as a manager amid numerous reports linking him to a move to Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old was coached by the Chelsea manager during their time at PSG, with the German playing a role in his decision to leave the club for RB Leipzig - a move he will have not regretted.

Since leaving PSG as a bit-part player, Nkunku has gone on to become one of the most productive attackers in world football - scoring an outrageous 34 goals and adding 14 assists.

The Frenchman is now wanted by a number of top European clubs after his outstanding season in the Bundesliga.

And Chelsea have emerged as an option for RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku with Tuchel reportedly interested. That's according to Sky Germany who state the Blues are also keen on the 24-year-old attacker who has been in sensational form this season - scoring 34 goals and adding 20 assists in all competitions.

The player’s current deal runs down in 2024 and does not include any release clause. The German club, for their part, have no intention to sell their prized asset in the summer and have offered him a new contract.

But a move to Chelsea may be in doubt after a talk with Tuchel during their time at PSG made him consider his future.

He told Canal Plus: " The arrival of Tuchel made me think. The fact of starting a season without really knowing what role you are going to have, it’s quite complicated. There comes a time when you come to the end of your contract and you have one year left, either you extend or you leave, I made the choice to simply leave."

Nkunku's decision to leave will not be one that he regrets, with Tuchel being honest about his playing time should he remain at PSG.

But questions will be asked on whether the Frenchman would be willing to reunite with Tuchel.
