Christmas toys 2022: The toys that have seen sales skyrocket this winter

These are the toys are set to fly off retailers' shelves as the final countdown to Christmas Day approaches.

The research team behind Wethrift has come up with a definitive list of this year’s must have toys. Some of the below gifts, including the soft toy Squishmallow, have become increasingly popular thanks to the power of platforms such as TikTok.

Ranging from robots to interactive family games, these toys all have unique qualities that will appeal to many children this Christmas season.

Cocomelon JJ Learning Doll

Cocomelon unsurprisingly was high on the list of the most sought after toys this year. The doll is inspired by the sing-along children’s series, which began on YouTube and has since achieved financial success on Netflix. The cheery tunes may drain some parents, but the trend is beloved by children worldwide and has inspired a range of merchandise.

Buzz Lightyear Hot Wheels Hyper Loop Challenge

This toy proves that the popularity of the nostalgic Toy Story series continues into the present day. Manufacturers report great success in Toy Story sales worldwide. The Buzz Lightyear Hyper Loop Challenge is a fun, interactive toy, introducing kids to the world of cars and racing.
