Baubles filled with cannabis have been discovered during a raid.
Merseyside Police confirmed that officers executed a search warrant in Maghull, during which they found 4.25kg of suspected amphetamine in carrier bags and more than £1,000 in cash. Officers also found Christmas decorations that had a "potent smell".
The baubles are believed to contain cannabis, with a 30-year-old woman and 23-year-old man being arrested following the raid. Both are currently in custody following the search and are awaiting questioning by detectives.

Sharing the news on the Sefton Police Facebook page, the force said: "Operation Pelican Officers have this morning arrested a 30-year-old female and a 23-year-old male for Drug Supply Offences. Officers executed a search warrant in the Maghull area and during a search seized 4.25kg of suspected ampet and over £1000 in cash believed to be from the proceeds of crime.

"Officers also located a festive array of baubles which seemed to have a rather potent smell..... These were found to contain cannabis instead of the typical Christmas tree spruce.
"Both remain in custody awaiting questioning by detectives, hopefully, Santa realises their change of address."
