Christine McGuinness 'hit harder than she ever imagined' by emotional news

Christine McGuinness thanked her followers for support whilst sharing the news her grandmother had died.

The former Miss Liverpool recently took some much-needed time out as she enjoyed a solo holiday. Christine posted a reel to Instagram saying she was spending "one night in Devon" as she reflected on her intense past few weeks.

Last month Christine shared the news she had split from her husband Paddy McGuinness via an Instagram post. The statement said the pair had been separated for a while and felt they needed to address the rumours.

Yesterday, she gave her followers an update on Instagram thanking them for their support. She also revealed she lost her grandmother last week and has been taking the alone time to reflect on her family.

Sharing a photo of the sunset on a beach, the caption said: "Thank you to every one of you that have checked in on me recently. I appreciate you.

"I know I'm being quieter on here, I hope to be back properly soon. I just need time out, thinking lots, life is short, unpredictable and sometimes crazy. My nan, the one with the words of wisdom, she joined grandad last week in heaven and it's hit me harder than I ever imagined.

"Then my dad turned 60... if you read my story you will understand why this is huge, I can't help but wonder how he made it this far. But I'm so grateful he's here, even with struggles, I'm so grateful.

"Anyway, life is crazy, we're halfway through the school summer holidays, again, if you know you know! I'm slightly exhausted! but happy, healthy and grateful for life."
