Christine McGuinness admits she's 'not fine' and has done 'nothing wrong' as she shares nerves ahead of seeing Paddy

Christine McGuinness has said she is 'not fine' in a candid update with fans. The former model spoke in a new video posted to Instagram ahead of attending the National Television Awards on Thursday evening (October 13). Her documentary with ex-husband Paddy McGuinness is up for an award at the showbiz bash.

The former couple, who announced they had separated back in July following rumours their 11-year marriage had come to an end, are nominated for an authored documentary gong at the event, which was originally supposed to take place last month but was postponed following the Queen's death.

In a video shared with her social media followers yesterday (Wednesday), the Real Housewives of Cheshire could be seen in a white sweater and leggings as she sat in her car. "Hey everyone I just thought I’d come on and say hey, it’s been a while," the mum-of-three began.

"I know I’ve been quiet. I’ve had loads going on which I’m sure most of you are aware of. Loads of you have been checking in on me which I really, really appreciate. Thank you so much. I’ll be honest, I’m not going to lie. I’m not going to come on and say 'I’m fine. I’m just having a little quiet time.' I'm really not fine."

She went on to candidly share: "There’s been far too much on my plate recently, but I’m doing OK. I’m having more good days than bad and I’ve missed talking to myself on here. I talk to myself every single day but I didn’t realise how much I used Instagram as like an outlet, before I used to come on and just chat rubbish every day, and I miss doing that so I’m going to try and be a little bit more active.

"At the minute I’m not feeling completely 100% myself so I probably will keep having little quiet times, but I am doing ok." Christine then moved on to discuss her appearance at the NTAs, describing it as being on a 'brighter note'.

"I'm a nominee for the documentary me and Patrick made with our children and I’m really anxious," she said. "I’m quite nervous, just because of everything. It’s not the best situation, but you know I haven’t done anything wrong and I know what a big difference the documentary made and I know how hard the whole team worked on it."

"So I’m going to go and try and hold my head up high and just enjoy the night," she added. It has previously been reported, however, that Top Gear host Paddy, 49, won't be joining 34-year-old Christine at the glamourous event. Despite her nerves, Christine was all smiles leaving a salon in Wilmslow in Cheshire. earlier this week.

She was seen chatting and getting a supportive hug from a friend following her pamper session after her recent heartbreaking split. She cut a casual yet stylish figure, donning a pair of skin-tight flared brown trousers with a beige crop. She added a long grey coat to her look as she shielded herself from the cooler temperatures and added a pair of chunky trainers to her feet while carrying her essentials in a white crossbody bag.

Her blonde locks looked fresh and styled into classic curls but were blown in the wind as she walked back to her car in a pair of huge shades. Her latest appearance comes after she recently wowed fans by stripping down to a skimpy blue bikini in a snap shared on her Instagram from a sunshine trip to Santorini, Greece.
