Christina Aguilera shares secrets to age-defying beauty as she feels 'more self-assured'

Christina Aguilera has opened up on her plans to grow old beautifully - and revealed exactly how she is set to do so.

The Genie In A Bottle songstress, 42, admits she has been getting anti-wrinkle injections in a bid to slow down the ageing process.

The Staten Island native has said she is so impressed by the procedure that she's now putting her name to the product as she hopes to rid her frown lines.

She has long been praised for her appearance after bursting onto the music scene as a platinum-blonde teen.

Now, she is set to work with Xeomin on their Beauty on Your Terms campaign and has revealed her reasoning for doing so.

Speaking to PEOPLE, she said: "I'm really into feeling more self-assured as you get older."

She believes she now can maintain a "more natural" look, adding: "We like expression, especially in my line of work.

"I don't want to have a frozen face. Whether it's being on-camera or performing onstage, I have to stay authentic to my emotion."

And she revealed she hopes women can continue to feel confident as they get older. "Viewing ageing as a negative is a super old-school approach," she continued.

"I've seen myself go through different stages of my life and complain about certain things. As I've gotten older, I look back, and I'm like, 'God, every stage is a new era.'"

The pop star admitted she started performing at the age of six and simply hasn't stopped. She noted that being in the public eye for so long can often complicate how you view yourself as someone will always have an opinion of what you do or what you wear.

And one person who recently had to shut down speculation she had shaded the star was fellow singer P!nk.

The artist had been asked to rank her music hits and put her collaboration with Christina firmly at the bottom.

Following her comments, fans immediately believed she was reigniting a feud with the Dirrty singer.

But in a quick rebuttal, P!nk, 43, has denied that there is any new fallout.

Taking to Twitter, the Never Gonna Not Dance Again star said: "Y'all are nuts," after reading the speculation. "Xtina had s*** to do with who was on that song.

"If you don't know by now - I'm not 'shading' someone by telling it over and over and over what actually happened."
