Christian Ramirez in 'f***' response to Stephen Glass sacking as Aberdeen striker vents fury

Christian Ramirez appears to have responded to Aberdeen 's decision to sack Stephen Glass with a simple one-word statement - "f***."

The Dons parted company with the former Atlanta United II boss on Sunday after exiting the Scottish Cup to Motherwell over the weekend.

Glass leaves with Dons ninth in the Premiership after a dreadful season so far.

One of the few positives about the campaign though has been Ramirez, who was convinced to swap MLS for the SPFL by Glass and has hit the ground running.

The 30-year-old has scored 15 times already and was the only Dons player on the scoresheet at Fir Park.

He was applauded off the park while other teammates, such as Lewis Ferguson, felt the brunt of the away support.

Ramirez now appears to have criticised the decision to sack Glass with a one-word tweet that reads simply "F***!" with an angry face emoji.

Ramirez is a prolific poster on social media and won fans over partly due to his antics on Twitter and Instagram.

Responding to Saturday's defeat to Motherwell he wrote: "Football is cruel sometimes. Rollercoaster of emotions everyday, both good and bad.

"This is why we love this. Back to work!"

Jack Ross is the early bookies' favourite to replace Glass while Jim Goodwin, Scott Brown and Neil Lennon rank high up in the betting.

English coach Jack Collison - who has Glass' old job at Atlanta - might also come into consideration although the Dons are expected to confirm an interim appointment before naming their next permanent boss.

Pathways manager Neil Simpson is set to take the reins for Tuesday's clash with St Johnstone, assisted by Brown and U18s boss Barry Robson.
