Christian Pulisic continues to be the subject of intense transfer speculation as the Chelsea star faces an uncertain future.
Pulisic could be sold as Chelsea look to move players on after their epic spending in the transfer window since the arrival of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital at Stamford Bridge last year. Having started just six games this season, Pulisic has struggled to nail down a regular place in Graham Potter's first team at Chelsea and has had injury and fitness issues.
Competition for places is even more intense following the arrivals of Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk in the January transfer window. Serie A clubs are said to be interested in signing Pulisic, the United States of America captain, who signed for Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in January 2019 for around £58million.

Now Chelsea are approaching a crossroads in their relationship with Pulisic, given his contract runs out at the end of next season. Indeed, Pulisic could sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club as soon as a year's time which would mean he exits Chelsea for no transfer fee in the summer of 2024.
He has not signed improved terms nor an extension since he joined Chelsea and according to the CIES Football Observatory, Pulisic's value is 'up to £50m', which means his club would stand to make a loss of around £8m if he went for their maximum estimate. A combination of form and the fact Pulisic's contract is winding down will have a big impact on the fee Chelsea could negotiate with a potential suitor for the 24 year-old.
Pulisic is currently out injured with a knee injury picked up at the start of January but boss Graham Potter scotched talk of any January exit regardless of his injury. "No chance," Potter said of a potential departure for the Manchester United and Newcastle-linked Pulisic.
"There was never any consideration of anything about that anyway but he's a couple of months. "He's disappointed but he's optimistic that he can come back quicker than the two months so he's in that phase where he's just trying to keep his fingers crossed and hopefully his rehab goes well."
