Chelsea are planning to back Thomas Tuchel in the summer transfer window with a number of big signings, according to reports.
The Blues were reportedly keen to draft in cover for Ben Chilwell last month after a series of unconvincing displays from Marcos Alonso in the England international's absence.
Marina Granovskaia and the Chelsea hierarchy failed in doing so, having been unable to reach an agreement with Lyon which could've brought Emerson back to Stamford Bridge, leaving Tuchel with diminutive options at left wing-back until Chilwell's return.
