Chelsea have received offers from both AC Milan and Lyon for Christian Pulisic.
The 24-year-old has just one year left on his contract and is ready to leave Chelsea after four underwhelming seasons at Stamford Bridge.
Milan have offered an initial £12million for the United States international and are reluctant to spend more than the £17m paid to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea last week.
Pulisic is understood to favour a move to Milan but Lyon have outbid the Italian giants.
Lyon have offered £21m plus a package of favourable add-ons including a sell-on clause.
It remains to be seen whether Milan will match that offer but they remain in dialogue with Chelsea.
Lyon owner John Textor, the American-based billionaire who also owns a stake in Crystal Palace, is keen to attract a marquee star to the Ligue 1 club.

Milan are also backed by finance from the United States, with Gerry Cardinale, CEO of Red Bird Capital, now running the Serie A club.
Pulisic started just nine matches in all competitions for Chelsea last season and is desperate to leave to get his career back on track.
