Hibs assistant manager Jamie McAllister says that the club will remain active in the market up until the very end as he provided an update on striker Christian Doidge.
The Welsh hitman has been linked with various moves away this summer and the latest has former club Forest Green Rovers reportedly eyeing a reunion. It's been a busy window at Easter Road as manager Lee Johnson revamps his new Hibs squad. There's been big name recruits like Martin Boyle and development intakes like his number two's son, Reuben McCallister.
Assistant McAllister says Doidge is an important part of the Hibees squad as they prepare to face St Mirren in the Premiership on Saturday, with the transfer deadline coming on September 1st: "We are always looking to add and improve the squad. If we can get one or two in, then great. If not, we're more than happy with what we have got.

"I think Christian has been brilliant for us since we came into the club. He had a brilliant pre-season and he gives us something we don't have up top.
"He's a good player with good quality. He's got experience so we will monitor that as it goes."
On his adjustment to Scottish football after time in the EFL, McAllister added: "I have loved it. The family is moving up. I love the league and there's been some great games recently."
