Christian Dior Reimagines One of Its Signature Motifs Dating Back to the Brand's First Fashion Show

Every fashion house has signature codes. Some even go all the way back to when the house was established. You'll often witness designers beginning a tenure at a new brand referencing them in their initial collection. Or the studio team highlighting codes in the absence of a creative director. So it's not surprising that Christian Dior is bringing one of its iconic codes back with a twist with its My Dior jewelry collection.

The collection revolves around the emblematic cannage with "interwoven gold threads crafting a subtle mesh, the pieces mirror cannage's meticulously intertwined strands of straw." The code actually appeared on the Napoleon III chairs at Christian Dior's first show in 1947. The new rings, earrings and bracelets are designed by Victoire de Castellane. The pieces showcase different precious shades as the designs marry white and yellow gold. The brand is releasing 12 creations now with three more scheduled for November.
