A Tennessee judge ordered officials on Wednesday, 7 October, to preserve evidence from Christa Pike's failed execution after her lawyers raised concerns about the lethal injection procedure.
Pike, 50, survived two doses of pentobarbital administered at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville on 30 September.
