Chrissy Teigen says she's 'balls deep' in IVF and begs fans not to ask if she's pregnant

Chrissy Teigen has begged fans to stop asking if she is pregnant while she is undergoing IVF treatment.

The 36-year-old tragically lost a baby halfway through the pregnancy in September 2020, who her and husband John Legend named Jack.

She recently revealed the family travel with Jack’s ashes everywhere they go so he is “always with them”.

The Sports Illustrated Model, who is also mum to daughter Luna, five and three-year-old son Miles, is now ready to try for a baby again.

But while she tries to conceive, she told her 37 million Instagram followers: “I humbly beg you to stop asking if I am pregnant.

“While I know it’s said with excited, good intentions, it just kind of sucks to hear because I am the opposite of pregnant!”

Posting a lengthy caption explaining what she had been going through, Chrissy said one of the side effects of IVF was looking bloated, which some people had confused with pregnancy.

She wrote: “I posted about it in my stories, but I wanted to let you guys know I’m balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos.

“I honestly don’t mind the shots... they make me feel like a doctor/chemist... but the bloating is a bitch.”

Reiterating her plea, Chrissy said people should mind what they say to anyone who is currently trying to have a baby.

She continued: “Also, please stop asking people, anyone, if they’re pregnant.

“I said this in the comments and got yelled at because the internet is wild, but I’d rather be the one to tell you

“Not some poor woman who will look you in the eyes through tears and that’s how you finally learn. Anyhow, love youuuuu??”

Fans were quick to comment on the post and praised Chrissy for speaking out.

One said: “I cannot believe people think it’s acceptable to ask or comment about being pregnant or not. Thanks for using your platform to bring awareness to this, ivf, loss and so many struggles.”

Another wrote: “I don't care if a person's stomach is out as far as their arm, you never ask a woman if she pregnant.”

A third commented: “Thank you for this. Not for me, but for all the amazing women in my life I know that are going through this.”

Detailing their own personal experience of IVF, one fan added: “BEEN THERE!! Those damn shots made me a completely diff person & I ended up adopting anyways - but oh soooo cheering you on!!

“For your fans: NEVER FORGET THE KIDS YOU ARE MEANT TO HAVE WILL BE YOUR KIDS, no matter what the means. Go Chrissy go!”

It is believed Chrissy will be using a surrogate if she has another baby as she previously said she is unable to get pregnant again.

At the time she posted on Instagram: “I love being pregnant, so so much, and I’m sad I will never be again.”

In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, she shared: “Coming to terms with not being able to carry again is still really difficult for me because I feel so healthy. I’m like, why?

“But then I think about as my uterus is just not cooperating with me – and it’s not a failure.”

She added there were “so many ways to have a child nowadays” and hinted she would consider surrogacy or adoption as she couldn’t imagine “a life without more children”.
