Chrissy Teigen has hit out at Internet trolls who have criticised her decision to go public with details of the abortion she went through two years ago in order to save her life, with some even accusing the star of lying.
The pregnant 36-year old, who shares daughter Luna, six, and son Miles, four with singer-songwriter John Legend shared screenshots on her Twitter account of examples of the vile abuse she has been on the receiving end of recently.
Model Chrissy recently revealed that Jack's passing was the result of an abortion rather than a miscarriage, explaining that she made the 'difficult decision' to terminate the pregnancy at 20 weeks after accepting that both she and Jack would likely not survive a full pregnancy.
The online abuse came in response to comments made by Chrissy earlier in the week, in which she told THR : "Let's just call it what it was: It was an abortion. An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance. And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.
"Two years ago, when I was pregnant with Jack, John and my third child, I had to make a lot of difficult and heartbreaking decisions.
"It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn't either without any medical intervention."
Captioning the post she wrote: "I knew this would happen, and honestly I've already seen you do your worst so if this makes you feel better, great. It doesn't make me feel worse though.
She continued: "This isn't like, the Daily Mail or something btw. It's the Glamour magazine comment thread! Brutal."
Thousands of fans responded in support of the model with one writing: "I've been there-not to this extreme obviously since I'm not a celebrity-but choosing to carry my babies, being embraced by the pro life movement and then coming out pro choice was a journey. Ignore the haters. You did what was right for you and Jack."
Another commented: "Some people wouldn't understand empathy or even being kind to others, if it was fed to them daily. Never let the ignorance of others halt your growth! Keep your head up and keep progressing!"
A third added: "In my life I thought we were moving forward to a more educated, inclusive and accepting society. I don’t know what happened to us but somewhere along the way a shift happened and people started to regress into deplorable humans. I’m sorry for all you’ve endured by those people."
And a fourth said: "I'm so sorry. Losing a wanted child, regardless of the how, is devastating. I hope these people never experience it, but if they do I hope they return here and apologise for their lack of empathy."
Chrissy had long considered Jack's death a miscarriage and has bravely offered more details in the wake of the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe V. Wade, which protected the right to an abortion in America.
The star announced she is now expecting a 'miracle' baby with music icon John last month, meanwhile.
She shared two beautiful pictures of her blossoming baby bump as she described the 'joy' that has been blessed on the family after their heartache.
