Could the Carolina Panthers have both Jaycee Horn and CJ Henderson back for the weekend? Chris Tabor, as he’s done to start his tenure as interim head coach, kept that information close to the vest this afternoon.
Just two days ahead of their Week 13 clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tabor was asked about the statuses of the team’s two starting cornerbacks. When it came to Horn, Tabor—per Joe Person of The Athletic—wouldn’t reveal too much.
“I think he’s had a good week,” he said on Friday. “We’ll just have to go into the evaluation process. Just leaving practice so haven’t had an opportunity to speak with the other parties involved.”
Horn, who was designated to return from injured reserve back on Nov. 13, has not played since the season opener due to a hamstring injury. The Panthers have until Monday to move him to the active roster before his 21-day window expires.
The diagnosis, however, is much more clear for Henderson—who was a full participant in practice throughout the entire week as he tries to return from a concussion.
“He did clear the protocol,” Tabor told reporters. “So we’re on to the next steps.”
Henderson does not have a game designation for Sunday.
