Chris Sutton reacts after Leeds United make mockery of his 6-1 Liverpool prediction

Chris Sutton was so confident that Liverpool were going to turn Leeds United over at Anfield that he predicted a 6-1 demolition in favour of the hosts.

As it turned out, Leeds scrapped the form book and produced a memorable 2-1 victory, with Crysencio Summerville's 89th-minute winner earning Leeds a first win over the Reds in over 21 years.

The three points sends Leeds one-point clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand over the five teams directly below them.

Jesse Marsch is by no means out of danger after his side ended a wretched run of eight matches without a win and four straight defeats.

But Sutton, who was asked which manager out of Jurgen Klopp and Marsch is under the most pressure, believes the victory was a perfect response to Marsch's impassioned press conference last week.

Speaking live on 606 for BBC Radio 5 Live, Sutton responded: "The pressure is on both of them.

"From Leeds' point of view, I'm really pleased for Jesse Marsch because a lot of Leeds fans aren't having it," Sutton revealed on BBC Radio 5 Live.

"Listen, bottom line with Jesse Marsch is, he was under pressure, did you see his passionate press conference? 'Sick of losing' - that was a huge result."
