Chris Sutton has issued a parting shot to Danny Rohl, insisting the former Rangers head coach did not have the 'stomach' required for the Ibrox hotseat.
On Wednesday, the 37-year-old moved to Red Bull Salzburg, with his former employers appointing Derek McInnes from Hearts as his replacement.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the fixture announcements, Sutton did not hold back regarding Danny Rohl's time in Glasgow. "What a fabulous weekend we've [Sky Sports] got in store, covering every game.
I mean, interesting to see how Derek McInnes does away at Dundee United. Of course, Rangers fans will be looking at that fixture, and they probably would have enjoyed the appointment of Derek McInnes.
Danny Rohl didn't have the stomach for it; he walked away, or, he’s gone to Salzburg, but Derek stepping in, it'll be interesting to see how he does. Last season at Hearts, they pushed Celtic all the way. I thought he did brilliantly.
"He's proven himself in management, and I think it's a really smart appointment from Rangers, actually."

On Rohl, Sutton continued, "I think it's plain for everybody to see that, when things started to go wrong at the end of the season.
"I mean, he had a lot to say about Celtic and their tactics in Europe and, when it came to the crunch at the end of the season where they lost four games on the spin, everything sort of changed then and his demeanor changed.
"And I don't think it was a great surprise to anybody that he ended up leaving. So, I think Rangers are better off without him."
