Actor Will Smith shocked the globe after hitting comedian Chris Rock onstage during the Oscars.

The 53-year-old went onstage after Chris, who was presenting at the prestigious awards show on Sunday, made a joke about Will's wife Jada Pinkett Smith.. The joke was in reference to Jada's buzzcut.

Chris said: "Jada, can't wait for GI Jane 2." Last year Jada, 50, opened up about her decision to shave her head, after suffering from alopecia. GI Jane is an action movie from 1997 which stars Demi Moore as Jordan O'Neil.
