Comedian and actor Chris Rock really, really, really wants USC quarterback Caleb Williams to come play for the New York Jets.
Ahead of Saturday night’s Trojans game against the Oregon Ducks, Rock greeted Williams with an earnest plea for him to come play for the Jets once he most likely declares for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Williams got a kick out of Rock’s open recruiting, even when veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers is scheduled to return to New York next season after tearing his Achilles in September.
We commend Rock for doing his best to sway Williams, even though the quarterback really has no control over where he’s drafted unless he doesn’t like the team picking first overall and decides to stay in school for 2024.

Williams joining the Jets would immediately make them one of the most exciting teams in the NFL, but the odds of New York landing the kind of draft pick needed to secure his talents are slim.
At the least, Rock can always swap out being a Jets fan for wherever Williams gets drafted when he finally joins the NFL. We wouldn’t blame him for doing so, as being a New York fan rarely pays off like you’d hope.
