Chris Paul hasn’t spoken to Adam Silver following recent ejection

Chris Paul‘s ejection from the Golden State Warriors November 22 contest against the Phoenix Suns is still a hot topic. The veteran guard’s admission that the NBA was aware of a personal issue between himself and Scott Foster heightened the interest surrounding the situation, with many assuming Adam Silver would speak to both parties.

During a recent interview on Sirius XM NBA Radio, Silver noted how the NBA has handled the situation by “talking to both of them and saying the expectation is that you’re going to be professional.” However, following the Warriors win over the Portland Trail Blazers, Paul refuted claims that he had recently spoken with Silver, noting that they hadn’t spoken in years.

“He said he talked to us? Nah, ain’t nobody called me since all that happened,” Paul said. “Ain’t nobody called, texted, nothing…I haven’t talked to Adam, Byron, nobody. I talked to Byron, but I had to call him, no one called me…Ain’t nothing ever changed as far as that (the Foster issue)…Some years ago, there was a meeting with my dad.”

The incident between Paul and Foster remains fresh in Warriors fans’ minds. Some feel that the ejection was a step too far, considering both veterans were going back at forth at each other.

It will be interesting to see how things play out when Foster ultimately officiates another one of Golden State’s games, especially if Paul is available and part of the rotation. Hopefully, the issue can be put behind them, and the focus can remain on basketball.
