Spider season is here as millions of arachnids come out of hiding and head into our homes in search of a mate. Many people don't like seeing spiders anywhere in their homes - especially in the bath.
People have all kinds of tricks for keeping their homes clear of spiders, from using essential oils and plants such as mint and basil to blocking up gaps, clearing away webs and keeping your home clean and tidy.
Now Chris Packham fans on Facebook have shared a trick that should mean you never have a surprise spider in your bath.
In a post on the Support Chris Packham page, one fan said: "The House Spiders are coming in around now as it's cold for them too.
"Drape a bath mat of other 'ladder' to the bottom of the bath and you won't see them again till spring. They'll be working away protecting you from the others that eat your woollies, amongst other things.
"They're our friends."
By providing something spiders can use to climb out of the bath you will ensure you don't get a surprise when you find a visitor stuck at the bottom.
