Former Sky Sports presenter Chris Kamara has issued an update on his ongoing battle with speech apraxia after undergoing experimental treatment.
The ex-footballer stepped back from TV work last year after being diagnosed with the rare neurological condition which has affected his speech and pronunciation, with saying the right sounds and words becoming very difficult for him.
Fans have rallied around the broadcaster since his diagnosis, with the condition forcing him to pull out of presenting gigs and leaving him feeling "like a fraud" as it causes him to slur his words.

But in a positive update, 'Kammy' has said that his new treatement is working and he could return to TV before the end of the year if he continues to make progress.
Speaking to ITV's Good Morning Britain at the National Film Awards on Monday night, he said: "It's getting better. I've been having some experimental treatment and it's working.
"By the way the treatement is going, hopefully I'll be back by Christmas."
Asked if he would be up for presenting GMB on his return, he added: "Oh I'd love to, alongside Lorraine or Hannah. Hannah? Oh, Susanna [Reid]! She'll kill me as well! [But] Ed Balls is on there for God's sake!"
Back in the studio, hosts Susanna and Ed were left jokingly fuming with his answers, with the former even uttering the pundit's famous catchphrase 'Unbelievable Jeff!' before she added: "Oh, Kammy, we love you, we can't wait to get you back!
The latest update comes after he appeared on the ITV show earlier this year and explained how he was "trying anything" to help his condition, including a range of diets.
"I've got inflammation on my brain so that is the reason I have good days and bad days," he said when he spoke on the show in February. "Yesterday was a bad day, today is better, so much better."
"What I am doing is gluten free diet, dairy free diet, I am trying anything, alternative medicine, all these vitamins to try and see if it helps and hopefully fingers crossed it will."
