Chris Hughton received a spectacular welcome during his unveiling as new Head Coach of the Ghanain Men's national side.
Hughton received the welcome in Ghana's second largest city Kumasi, in an event that featured men in native dress accompanied by loud drumming and shouting.
Hughton, who played for Ireland 53 times including at Euro '88, was named as head coach last month after acting as a technical advisor last year and during the Qatar World Cup. Hughton is of Ghanain heritage through his father.

At his unveiling he spoke to local media but was keen to downplay expectations, "No coach can guarantee a trophy. No coach can sit at a table and guarantee you that. No single coach can do that. It starts with qualifications and you know what you can do but no coach can guarantee you a trophy.
"We have short, medium, and long-term objectives. In the short-term we want to win football game which will put us in a better position to extend the duration."
Hughton's first game in charge will be an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at home to Angola on Thursday.
