Former professional boxer Chris Eubank suffered the ultimate blow on Sunday as he ran over his designer bag in his 2.6 tonne £300,000 Rolls Royce Phantom convertible.
The 56-year-old had pulled out of his parking space during an outing in West London when he made the unlucky discovery his cream holdall was stuck beneath the wheels of the luxury motor.
In a bid to free it, Chris ran over the bag a second time before a passer-by came to the rescue to help free it from behind the front wheel.
With the boxer's cane in hand, the good Samaritan lay on the floor and poked around until he retrieved the crumpled Longchamp bag which was covered in black tyre marks.
The helpful stranger appeared star-struck as he handed over the bag to a grateful Chris, who got out of his Rolls Royce to thank him.
Chris showed off his eclectic sense of style in a baseball cap and a black suit which came complete with a gold star broach.
The middleweight champion, who retired from boxing in 1997, is known for his eccentric sense of style often sporting tailored suits and known for his love of jodhpurs, bowler hats and monocles.
Since his retirement Chris has forged a successful reality TV career, starring in I'm A Celebrity and, more recently, Celebrity MasterChef.
The former boxer entertained fans during his stint, which saw Chris join the likes of Gareth Malone, Cliff Parisi, and Mel Blatt in his elimination episode.
The group whipped up various dishes including fish and chips and basil pesto and pasta.
Ahead of the first challenge, Chris predicted he would do better than all the other contestants, declaring that they “complain” too much as he said: “You’re here, so let people see your light.”
Chris quickly ran into challenges with the daunting use of a pasta maker, but was not once fazed as he said: “Once you’ve been smacked in the teeth by Nigel Benn, you’re quite used to fear.”
A slightly more quizzical quip came when judges John and Gregg asked Chris if he had tasted his pesto before serving it, to which he confidently replied: “I can see the taste with my eyes.”
MasterChef viewers were left in stitches at Chris’s appearance, with one writing on Twitter : “Chris Eubank saying ‘I can see the taste with my eyes.’ I’M DEAD.”
A second wrote: “Chris Eubank is killing me,” as another said: “Chris Eubank on MasterChef is the gift that keeps on giving. Never mind cooking in a three piece suit…”
Although the boxing star frequently said he felt “stupendous” about his dishes, he unfortunately faced the chop from the show and was eliminated.
