Chris Eubank Jr has not relied on the advice of nutritionists for his grudge fight with Conor Benn despite having to make the lowest weight of his career.
Eubank and Benn will renew their family feud on October 8 as the pair meet at The O2 arena in a catchweight of 157lb, which is 3lb below Eubank's usual weight class and 10lb above Benn's. Both men will go into the super-fight looking to settle a grudge which originated from their fathers two-fight series which first began over 30 years ago.
Despite insisting he will be drained on fight night whilst competing at around 60 per cent of his capabilities, Eubank claimed he is managing his weight cut on his own. Have I made big changes? I wouldn't even say that. I'm doing everything on my own accord, I've had my burgers and my birthday cakes. I've done everything my own, I'm a professional but I also know what my body can and can't do. I don't need nutritionists and gym guys who think they know what they're doing. I know my own body," he said on Good Morning Britain.

"I've trained myself for this fight. I have this weight I have to make which I've never made before in my entire career and there's also a rehydration clause after the fight in that I can't be over a certain weight, so I can't be 100 per cent for this fight but the 60 per cent I'm going to be will be a very dangerous and worrying 60 per cent for Conor."
Benn mocked his domestic rival Eubank for eating cake and burgers in the build-up to the fight by insisting he will be 100 per cent on the night. Eubank has vowed to retire if he loses to Benn, insisting that he has no right to think about a middleweight world title fight if he can't get past 'The Destroyer'.
"Listen, we can all play the card about me coming up a stone and all that, but at the end of the day I can beat the man. I'll be 100 per cent because I am a dedicated professional athlete and not ramming burgers down my throat, or portraying that image anyway. I'm here working, grafting hard and I'll be 100 per cent on the night," Benn said.
"This is the long part, I just want to get in there and do the business. It's now just a matter of getting in there and fighting. It's been an amazing challenge coming up the two weight divisions. I'm coming for the stoppage, no doubt about it. If I see my shot I'm going to take it and when I shoot I don't miss."
