For over 40 years, Chris Berman’s iconic voice has provided a backdrop to many all-time great NFL moments. But, thanks to Pete Carroll, the legendary ESPN personality had the chance to narrate a memorable moment that’ll likely be remembered for much different reasons.
The Seahawks shared a hilarious gem of a TikTok on Wednesday featuring Berman adding his name to the growing list of celebs with an opinion on the viral video of Carroll showing off his quarterback skills at a recent practice.
In the clip, Berman lauded Seattle for having a “secret weapon” under center before recapping Carroll’s moves with a level of energy that could rival even his best Patrick Mahomes breakdown.
“Is that head coach Pete Carroll? Throw the out for the touchdown,” Berman exclaimed. “Look at the no-look [pass], And then he’s directing traffic, throwing against his body, my goodness! He still does a 4.4 40[-yard dash]. Even the big name receivers want to catch balls from him.”

Berman then proposed a unique plan for how the Seahawks could utilize their third QB spot, which, you guessed it, involved Seattle’s gunslinger of a coach.
“You know what? This year in the NFL, you can dress a third quarterback. Seahawks don’t need to, dress Coach Pete,” he said.
Needless to say, Berman’s breakdown served up another dose of preseason fun for fans anxiously awaiting Week 1, while also giving the 68-year-old sportscaster a lighthearted tune-up to get back in the swing of things.
