Chloe Madeley has hit back at those who question why she continues to work out during her pregnancy.
The mum-to-be has explained how she had adapted her exercise regime as she prepares to welcome a child into the world.
Chloe, 34, is expecting her first baby with her husband, rugby star James Haskell.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the daughter of TV legends Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan announced she had reached the 'half way' stage of her pregnancy.
The fitness fanatic then answered a few frequently asked questions she has encountered since revealing she is carrying a baby.
"In my first trimester, I tried so hard to keep walking the dog every day and to keep up with my weekly gym sessions (4-5 PW)," she explaining when answering how her gym sessions have changed over recent months.
"I knew how important it was to stay active during pregnancy, not only for my body, but also for the health of my baby, the birth and postnatal recovery.
"But by week 2 of the sickness and the headaches I finally accepted that it just wasn’t something I could do."
She then went on to explain that she couldn't train throughout the entirety of December and January, but resumed normal training during the 14th week of her pregnancy.
"Every woman, body, and pregnancy is different. Instead, I decided to feel out what my body did and didn’t like. After nearly ten years of training, I’m pretty good at reading my body now," Chloe told her followers on Instagram.
She then revealed she has cut out high-intensity workouts and hasn't been pushing herself into anything too strenuous at this point of her pregnancy.
The star's fans appreciated her candid and honest update, with one commenting: "Thanks for sharing Chloe. I'm a huge advocate for exercising during pregnancy (when OK to do so). That 1st trimester is unreal isn't it?"
Another follower wrote: "Thanks for being honest… I found it so hard to carry on training when everyone else appeared to be. Pre pregnancy = triathlon. Pregnancy = a 5 min walk as an achievement. Happy Half Way!!!"
Chloe and husband James announced their pregnancy last month, after two-year struggle to conceive a baby.
The expectant mum has be conscious not to share too much surrounding her pregnancy on social media, as she is mindful of others who may be going through similar struggles.
"Well, I suppose there are a few reasons why I'm not solely or constantly posting about being pregnant..." she explained during a Q&A on Instagram earlier this month.
"1. As wonderful as it is, there is actually a lot more to my life than the fact that I'm pregnant. Quite a lot more.
"I remember when I was trying, for 2 years, and it was hard watching everyone around me get pregnant."
Chloe added that she never felt 'envious' about other people's pregnancies, just 'sad'.
