Chloe Madeley opens up on 'horrible' 18 hour vomiting sessions in early pregnancy

Chloe Madeley has opened up on the 'horrible' 18 hour vomiting sessions she endured during the first few months of her pregnancy.

Last month, the 34-year-old and her husband James Haskell confirmed the exciting news they were to be parents, with Chloe revealing she was expecting a baby girl.

Despite their joy at the news, the personal trainer said she's struggled with extreme morning sickness during the start of her pregnancy, calling the vomiting “savage”.

Chloe told OK! magazine that while she felt incredibly lucky to be pregnant, it was “really hard” getting through the first 14 weeks, as she was being sick from early in the morning until late at night.

“I got through it because I knew how lucky I was and I was so happy to be pregnant. From weeks nine to 14, I would wake up about 2am and start vomiting, and I didn’t stop until 8pm,” she shared.

“It was pretty savage,” Chloe added, revealing she also suffered with debilitating migraines as well, but was unable to get any pain relief as “paracetamol didn’t touch the sides!”

She said crisp sandwiches were the only thing she could stomach in those brutal few weeks of sickness, and husband James was on hand to offer up “fantastic” support while she was struggling.

The former rugby player said it was “tough” watching his wife become so unwell while pregnant with their longed-for first child, and he tried to do as much as he could.

“I’m quite helpless but I put the occasional wet flannel on her head. Chloe likened it to having a hangover but without any of the fun,” he quipped.

Luckily, her sickness has finally subsided, but now she’s battling with extreme exhaustion, leaving her struggling with tiredness and anxiety, and that put a stop to her workouts at the gym.

“It was really hard for me, because part of my mental health and physical health routine is to train. It’s my job, passion, career and hobby,” Chloe explained.

However, she’s now turned a corner, and is back to training two to three times a week.

“I’m feeling really good now,” she confessed.
