Chloe Madeley explains how two-year struggle to conceive a baby made her guarded

Chloe Madeley opened up on her two-year struggle to conceive a baby and how it made her cautious on what she shares about her pregnancy online.

The 34-year-old and her husband James Haskell were 'excited' to announce recently that they are expecting their first child together.

Since then, fans haven't heard that many updates on her pregnancy.

During a Q&A session on her Instagram, a follower asked her why she hasn't shared more about her pregnancy journey.

"Well, I suppose there are a few reasons why I'm not solely or constantly posting about being pregnant..." she explained.

"1. As wonderful as it is, there is actually a lot more to my life than the fact that I'm pregnant. Quite a lot more.

"I remember when I was trying, for 2 years, and it was hard watching everyone around me get pregnant."

She said she never felt 'envious' about other people's pregnancies, just 'sad'.

Chloe added: "Really, really sad. And every time I do post, I remember that feeling, and I'm sensitive to how the post might be received."

The fitness expert said her third reason for not sharing much about her pregnancy is because she's 'only 18 weeks'.

"So I'm still quite nervous about it all to be honest. Unsurprisingly, and like everything in life, it's actually pretty complicated," the star concluded.

James and Chloe announced the pregnancy back in February. They are expecting a baby girl.

The former England rugby star said: "Chloe and I are so excited to announce we are expecting our first child.

"From the moment I saw her and heard her little heartbeat I fell in love! Let's hope she looks like her mum."

Plenty has been revealed about the pair's relationship in positive discussions about their time together.

Jame previously told The Sun about parenthood: "I'd be nervous about bringing kids into the world these days. But would I like a miniature me running around saying, 'Daddy I love you' and having a laugh with Christmas and things? Yeah, I think that would be amazing."

James and Chloe, the daughter of TV presenting duo Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, got married in 2018 and have also been pretty candid with some details about their sex life.
