Chloe Kelly gets her own Barbie doll for International Women's Day alongside other female trailblazers

England footballer Chloe Kelly has been honoured as a Barbie Role Model with her own one-of-a-kind doll created in her likeness.

Ahead of International Women’s Day, the brand is celebrating female firsts and legacy makers who are breaking boundaries in their fields.

Kelly’s doll forms part of a global line-up with the likes of US tennis star and entrepreneur Serena Williams, German pop icon Helene Fischer, Polish Mountain Climber Zoja Skubis, US astronaut Kellie Gerardi and more.

The 28-year-old is celebrated as the first player to score the decisive goal in two major international finals, recognising her pivotal role in the England national team’s recent success and for inspiring a generation of young football fans.

The Lioness legend’s doll is made in her likeness, donning her championship winning England kit from 2025.

Notching up critical goals for England including a 110th minute winner at the Euro 2022 final against Germany and the winning penalty in the 2025 tournament, Kelly also scored the winning goal against Italy in the 2025 Euros semi-final and the winning penalty in the 2023 Finalissima against Brazil.

She said: “To have my own one-of-a-kind Barbie doll is something I’m incredibly proud of.

“Growing up, I dreamed about winning trophies and big moments in football, but I never imagined a different kind of milestone like this.

“I hope it shows young girls that they can grow up playing with Barbie dolls and with footballs, and that they don’t have to choose just one version of who they want to be.”

The London-born athlete concluded: “You can love it all.”

This year’s global line-up of Role Models celebrates a mixture of sportspeople, scientists, artists and adventurers.

Alongside Kelly, this year’s global Barbie Dream Team includes tennis legend Williams, who has 23 Grand Slam singles titles.

“I have always drawn inspiration from the powerful women in my life – from my mom, sisters, and daughters to the dolls in my toy box growing up,” she said.

“Now, I’m thrilled to be honored alongside this incredible group of female changemakers as part of the Barbie Dream Team.

“Just like so many women have empowered me to turn my fear into courage and doubt into confidence, I hope we can do the same by championing girls everywhere to pick up a racquet, become an entrepreneur, or do whatever ignites their passion and brings their dreams to life.”

Also in the line-up is research astronaut and payload specialist Kellie Gerardi, professional race car driver Regina Sirvent Alvarado, and Helene Fischer, who is one of Germany’s most famous and influential contemporary pop artists.

Zoja Skubis, who is the youngest Polish woman to summit Manaslu (8,163 m) and Mount Everest (8,849 m) at just 19 years old, also gets her own Barbie doll, as does Stephanie Gilmore, an Australian professional surfer who is the first woman to achieve eight World Surf League (WSL) World Championship Titles.
