GURUGRAM: More than three months after chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar told the assembly that a CBI probe would be conducted into the vertical collapse of floors that killed two residents at Chintels Paradiso, the decks have finally been cleared for the central investigating agency to start the proceedings. Officials said the file for the CBI probe was sent to Anil Vij’s office on Wednesday and he approved it without any delay.
It was in the middle of May that the Haryana government officially handed over the probe to the CBI after working out all the modalities and the paperwork. On Thursday, Vij confirmed to TOI that he had approved the file and the probe would soon be taken over by the central agency.
