Chintamani case: Andhra Pradesh HC upset over multiple implead petitions

VIJAYAWADA: The high court on Wednesday expressed displeasure over filing of multiple implead petitions in support of the GO issued by the state government banning the play ‘Chintamani’.

The high court bench headed by Chief Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and Justice M Satyanarayana Murthy observed that filing multiple petitions appears to be an attempt to influence the judicial process. Narasapuram MP, K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, moved the high court challenging GO 7 issued to ban ‘Chintamani’ based on a representation by Andhra Pradesh Arya Vysya Mahasabha.
