As President Donald Trump pressed ahead with sweeping new tariffs on Chinese goods, Beijing hit back Wednesday with an 84% tariff on U.S. goods starting Thursday.
China, which had initially announced a levy of 34%, also condemned the White House's move to increase tariffs to 104%, calling it "bullying tactics," marking a significant escalation in trade tensions between the world's two largest economies, BBC reported.
