A pickup truck was reduced to a burned-out shell overnight Sunday after driving into a minefield planted decades ago along Chile's far northern border, barely 280 meters from Peru. More than half a day later, forensic teams still hadn't reached the wreckage, and officials in the Arica y Parinacota region hadn't agreed on how many people were riding in the vehicle, who they were, or what exactly triggered the blast.
