Children's day is a day to celebrate the fact that children are the most precious gifts of God. The day is also the birthday of the former Prime Minister of the country Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
On this day schools and colleges observe several competitions and award students. Speech-telling competition is a common activity in educational institutions on this day. This traditional activity improves the oratory skills of students along with eloquence, and presence of mind. The ability to present a topic verbally, the excellence with which one needs to keep the audience engaged and the presence of mind to counter the opponent's points are encouraged in kids through a speech-telling competition.
