Lucy Letby has renewed her attempt to appeal against her convictions for murdering seven babies and attempting to murder six others at the Countess of Chester hospital.
The former neonatal nurse is serving 14 whole-life prison terms after being found guilty of the offences following a 10-month trial at Manchester crown court last year.
Letby, 34, applied for leave to appeal against the convictions shortly after the trial ended in August but was refused permission by a single judge. She is now asking three senior judges to allow her to appeal at a further hearing at the court of appeal in London.
Letby appeared for the hearing before judges Dame Victoria Sharp, Lord Justice Holroyde and Lady Justice Lambert.
The former nurse will say that there are four grounds of appeal and that the judge at her trial wrongly refused applications that her legal team made during the case.
Separately, Letby is due to face a retrial on one count of attempted murder at Manchester crown court from 10 June.
