Child hit by car on busy road in Glasgow's East End as cops race to scene

A CHILD was hit by a car on a busy road in the East End of Glasgow.

Police raced to Dalmarnock Road around 6.10pm on September 24 after receiving a report of a crash involving a car and an 11-year-old boy on an electric scooter.

Police say there were no serious injuries and the scooter was seized by police.

An investigation has now been launched into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.10pm on Thursday, September 24, 2026, we were called to a report of a crash involving a car and an 11-year-old boy on an electric scooter in the Dalmarnock Road area of Glasgow.

“There were no serious injuries and the scooter was seized by police. Enquiries are ongoing.”
