Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy burns Ravens for long touchdown in regular season debut

The Kansas City Chiefs got rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy involved early in their Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens and got exactly the result they were hoping for.

After surrendering an early lead to Baltimore on the game’s opening drive, reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes marched Kansas City’s offense downfield on the Chiefs’ first possession.

He relied on Rashee Rice and Isiah Pacheco to get his unit into gear, and when Worthy was called on to take a carry on an end around later in the drive, the rookie wasted no time finding a seam to get into the endzone.

Check out this video of Worthy’s touchdown, which was posted to Twitter by the NFL’s official account:

Worthy ran the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL combine history earlier this year, and flashed his explosive potential on this outstanding play.

Expect to see him continue to dominate as the Chiefs’ Week 1 matchup against the Ravens continues.
