Earlier this week, Aaron Rodgers took a swipe at Travis Kelce for the tight end’s ad campaign for Pfizer encouraging people to get an updated COVID vaccine and flu shot, calling the Chiefs star “Mr. Pfizer.”
The NFL world waited to see if Kelce would respond. And now he has, thanks to the press corps covering the Chiefs. During a news conference, Kelce was asked about the jab from the Jets quarterback, and he took it in good fun.
“Haha, I thought it was pretty good,” Kelce said. “I mean, with this ‘stache right now, I look like a guy named Mr. Pfizer. Who knew I’d get into the vax wars with Aaron Rodgers, man? Mr. Pfizer versus the Johnson & Johnson family over there.”

Kelce went on to explain he did the ad campaign for Pfizer for himself, for his family, and the people who work with him at the Chiefs’ facility. He added that he stood by his decision.
Taking it all in good fun was surely the right approach by Kelce. Though he got in a little dig of his own, referring to Rodgers playing for a Jets team owned by Woody Johnson, an heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune.
