Another day and another memorable moment for Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce as his offseason activities list continues to grow. Between the hit podcast co-hosted with his brother Jason, hosting Saturday Night Live, and recently announcing a concert during the NFL Draft weekend, Kelce is a busy man.
The latest event led by the Chiefs star takes him back to his hometown for the opening day of his favorite Major League Baseball team, the Cleveland Guardians. This Friday, April 7, the Cleveland Heights, Ohio native will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch with his mother, Donna Kelce.
The Super Bowl LVII champion has a tough act to follow from his brother’s appearance in Philadelphia to support the Phillies during last year’s NLCS, chugging a beer in the process.

The All-Pro tight end often speaks glowingly about his love for Cleveland baseball. An example of this was back in April 2019 he tweeted an inspirational message about the club.
“Since I was a kid growing up in Cleveland, the home opener was always like a holiday to us! Everyone head down to the Gateway district today and grab one of those new red uni’s their rocking this year!”
Kelce was always a proud fan of the Guardians, well before their name change in 2021. An opportunity to perform in his hometown and support his favorite baseball team is too good for the multitalented tight end to pass up.
