Now that free agents are eligible to be signed on reserve/future contracts, expect to hear about plenty of tryouts for the Kansas City Chiefs.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that former Alabama WR/PR Slade Bolden will be among the first to have a workout with the Chiefs. An undrafted free agent in the 2022 NFL draft, Bolden spent training camp with the Baltimore Ravens. He suffered a sports hernia ahead of the season and had surgery to repair the injury per Pelissero. He was waived by the Ravens in August.
Listed at 5-11 and 191 pounds, Bolden appeared in 30 games over his Crimson Tide tenure. During that span, he recorded 68 receptions for 712 yards and four touchdowns. Bolden also had 22 punt returns for 148 yards and played on special teams coverage units during his time at Alabama.
Bolden recorded no stats during the preseason.
Former Alabama WR/PR Slade Bolden is working out for the #Chiefs today, per source. Bolden, who spent camp with the #Ravens, had sports hernia surgery in September but is now fully healthy.

Bolden told reporters at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine that he models his game after former New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman. The Chiefs could certainly use their own Edelman type in Kansas City, whether his role is to play on special teams or offense.
