Chiefs TE Travis Kelce officially questionable to play vs. Lions

A day after hyperextending his knee and suffering a bone bruise, Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has been officially designated as questionable for Thursday night’s Week 1 kickoff against the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs leading receiver could still play with the questionable designation. He has not missed a game due to injury since his rookie season in 2013.

Kelce was the only Chiefs player who was even limited in Wednesday’s final practice session. The All-Pro TE is the only Kansas City player to carry an injury designation for the game as well. WR Kadariu Toney and CB L’Jarius Sneed each missed time during the week with knee issues but are good to go for the NFL’s opening game.
