Chiefs show support for women’s college basketball star Caitlin Clark in Final Four

The Kansas City Chiefs’ effect and fanbase stretches well beyond the games on the field. Actors, Musicians, and many others have supported the defending champions as lifelong fans.

The Chiefs decided to show appreciation for a particular fan who has become a national sensation on the basketball court. Iowa Hawkeyes star player Caitlin Clark is the all-time leading points scorer in Women’s Division One college basketball.

She has openly been a member of Chiefs Kingdom since childhood and received some support from her favorite team ahead of Friday’s Final Four game.

In a post on the Chiefs’ official Instagram, a young Clark is wearing Chiefs gear, followed by a supportive caption.

“You cheered for us. Now it’s our turn! All of Chiefs Kingdom is rooting you on tonight, @caitlinclark22.”

The Chiefs’ public display on social media may have been the lucky charm, as Clark led her team to a 71-69 victory over the Connecticut Huskies. The future top pick in the WNBA Draft finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, advancing to Sunday’s National Championship game.
