Charles Omenihu isn’t the only former teammate of DeAndre Hopkins who is trying to recruit him to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Chiefs S Justin Reid joined in Omenihu’s efforts on Friday afternoon, sending off a tweet directed at the 3-time First-Team All-Pro. Reid and Hopkins spent two seasons playing together with the Houston Texans in 2018 and 2019, which also happens to be two of the best seasons of both players’ respective careers.
“Come win a ring in KC bro,” Reid wrote, tagging Hopkins’ account on Twitter.

If anyone knows how successful Hopkins could be in Kansas City, it’s Reid. It was a true iron-sharpens-iron situation between the two competitors on the practice field. They made each other better in Houston and could do the same with K.C. in 2023. They even matched up against each other when the Texans played against the Cardinals in 2021 (see our featured image at the top of the page).
We know that the Chiefs had a previous interest in Hopkins and it’s clear that his former teammates think highly of him. Really, there is just one thing left for Brett Veach and the front office to do.
