The Chiefs have released defensive end Frank Clark, the team announced Tuesday.
Clark, who was acquired by Kansas City in 2019, recorded five sacks, 35 tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in the 2022 regular season, plus 2 1/2 postseason sacks on the way to Kansas City’s Super Bowl LVII victory.
Clark also helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV after the ’19 season. The news of Clark’s release comes a day after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Clark’s agent, Erik Burkhardt, could not find common ground with the Chiefs on a reworked deal during multiple talks at the NFL combine.
