The last-minute appearance of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on the Manningcast broadcast last Monday night showed off the reigning league Most Valuable Player’s analyst skills. Outside of the usual conversation regarding his plans for the rest of the season and Netflix’s quarterback show, Mahomes predicted a very particular series of plays in the game.
Mahomes participated in the show’s red zone prediction challenge during the Monday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills. He incredibly predicted the three consecutive plays the Broncos would run to score a touchdown.
“I’m gonna say we’re gonna run it twice and then a hard play action with 3rd and Short,” said Mahomes, “that’s gonna get a touchdown.”

The play went as he expected it to work, with some concern following instant replay on the Russell Wilson touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton right roping the sidelines. The Broncos would go on to win the game with a game-winning field goal as time expired.
