The Kansas City Chiefs may be without Nick Bolton after the promising linebacker suffered an apparent injury to his hand or wrist against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7.
The play when the injury occurred came in the fourth quarter as Kansas City was focused on stopping the Chargers’ offense from tying the game. Bolton tackled veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen short of the line to gain and forced a punt before grabbing for his hand and wrist on his way to the sideline.

Bolton’s absence would be a crushing blow for the Chiefs, who need to keep their defensive unit as healthy as possible heading into the middle part of their 2023 schedule. Perhaps no player has more of an impact on Kansas City’s defense than Bolton, who serves as the unit’s playcaller in a sort of quarterback role.
Expect Bolton’s injury to be the object of endless speculation ahead of the Chiefs’ matchup against the Broncos in Week 8.
