Chiefs’ L’Jarius Sneed Has Blunt Retort to Boast by Tyreek Hill

Although we’re still more than two months away from the opening of NFL training camps, Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed already appears primed for the 2023 season.

Sneed played an integral part in the secondary that helped Kansas City win Super Bowl LVII, registering seven tackles and two pass deflections against the Eagles in the February showdown. But as the NFL prepares to release its ’23 schedule Thursday, Kansas City is slated to face several marquee clubs next season including eight that competed in the ’22 playoffs.

One of the teams Kansas City will face is the Dolphins. And for Sneed, that means a matchup against former teammate Tyreek Hill, who said in April that he wanted to be the Chiefs’ “worst enemy” when he returns to Arrowhead Stadium to face his old team. In an appearance on NFL Total Access on Tuesday, Sneed didn’t hold back on his thoughts regarding a defensive battle with the seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver.

“Tyreek [Hill] been talking a lot of trash, himself, this year,” Sneed said, per NFL.com. “He talking about coming back to the Arrowhead. We going to show him, though, when he get there.”

When Hill returns to Kansas City next season, it will mark the first time the 29-year-old will face his former team. Hill is no stranger to trash talk with other players in the league. However, Sneed apparently is only focused on the battle that will take place on the field with Hill.

“I take notes on what he said,” Sneed said. “… I been on the internet, and I see what he’s saying. We’ll see once he comes to the Arrowhead.”
